§ Alan JohnsonWe are in the process of considering the evaluation from the first year of operation of the pilots and it is our intention to publish an interim report in due course. In November 2002 a decision was made to extend the pilots to August 2004 to give us a wider base of evidence on which to base future policy decisions. We will be undertaking a full evaluation of the second year of operation and hope to publish a full report by Spring 2005.
