HC Deb 13 November 2003 vol 413 cc462-3W
Mr. Gordon Prentice

To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport how much English Heritage has spent on renovating and bringing back into use pre-First World War industrial buildings since 1997; and if she will make a statement. [137557]

Mr. Caborn

Since 1997 English Heritage has awarded £2,754,799 in grants to industrial sites that are either wholly or partly pre-First World War in date. A further £235,619 has been awarded through the Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund. In addition, some sites will have been supported through the Heritage Economic Regeneration Schemes, which English Heritage run in partnership with local authorities. Details of this further funding could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
