To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what discussions he has had with(a) the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and (b) the Scottish Executive on the Scottish agricultural sector. [135828]

My right hon. Friend has regular discussions with his ministerial colleagues and with the Scottish Executive on a wide range of issues.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations his Department has made to the European Union regarding the Scottish agricultural sector.[135829]

Mrs. McGuire

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs represents the United Kingdom's views on agricultural issues in regular discussions in the European Union. In doing so, it takes account of the views of the Scottish Executive and the other Agriculture Departments.
