To ask the Secretary of State for Health how much has been spent in the NHS in the North West since 1992. [134893]

Expenditure in the area covered by the former North West Regional Office and the North West Regional Health Authority areas since 1992–93 is shown in the table.

  3. 3. Figures are not consistent between years as there have been considerable changes in the types of expenditure accounted for by health authorities in different years, eg prescribing expenditure.
  4. 4. All figures are cash based.
