HC Deb 05 November 2003 vol 412 cc690-1W
Chris Grayling

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate the NHS has made of potential savings derived from sending medical appointment letters by second class post. [132782]

Mr. Hutton

No estimate has been made of potential savings derived from sending medical appointment letters by second class post. This is because it is the decision of each trust/health authority, based on locally decided priorities, whether or not post is sent out by first, or by second class.
