Further to the Written Answer by the Lord President on 8 July (WA 25), when they will introduce material and expertise available through the Ulster Scots Agency into the statutory curriculums as a part of the cultural heritage and education for mutual understanding of cross-curricular themes. § Baroness AmosThe Government have no plans to introduce material relating to Ulster Scots into the curriculum on a statutory basis. The statutory requirements pertaining to Education for Mutual90WA Understanding (EMU) and Cultural Heritage are set out as a series of objectives, however, it is a matter for individual schools to determine how they deliver these objectives. The Government do not prescribe the use of any particular materials as it is up to schools to determine what resources they use to deliver the curriculum.
