As National Statistician, I have been asked to reply to your recent question on the latest unemployment claimant count for Scotland and Fife.In April 2003, there were 103,385 claimants of Jobseeker's Allowance benefit in Scotland, and 8,591 claimants in the Fife Local Authority District.
