§ Mr. RaynsfordMy right hon. Friend the Deputy Prime Minister has met the Fire Brigades Union on a number occasions to discuss a variety of topics since the dispute began. He has made it clear that, while the Armed Forces have been, and continue to be, able to provide emergency cover, this has had an impact on their usual duties.
