To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what assessment she has made of the effectiveness of the Ugandan Presidential Peace Team. [102983]

Although the Peace Commission was established late last year, it is only recently that it has become engaged in attempting to negotiate with the LRA. It is too early in that process to judge the effectiveness of their activities but my officials in Kampala continue to carefully monitor events.
