§ Mr. MorleyThe department is currently reviewing legislation relating to the welfare of captive and domestic animals, including that which relates to the rearing of pheasants, with a view to introducing an Animal Welfare Bill. No decisions have been made as to the Bill's content but it is proposed that there will be a period of consultation on a draft Bill by the beginning of next year.
