§ Jacqui SmithNo payments of aid have been made to the LG Electronics group by the Department of Trade and Industry since 1 January 1997. However, I understand that, in Wales, regional selective assistance (RSA) has been paid to LG Electronics in relation to the company's investment at Newport. Responsibility for the RSA scheme in Wales now rests with the Welsh Assembly Government.
