1Liverpool 5 5 Other prison establishments 245 125 Total 250 130 Figures are rounded to nearest five. 1 Persons detained soley under Immigration Act powers who are recorded as having sought asylum at some stage. The Prison Service is drawing up an action plan which will address each of the recommendations for improvement made in the recent report on HMP Liverpool by Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Prisons. The action plan will be approved, and monitored, by the Prisons Minister, my honourable friend, the member for Wythenshawe and Sale East (Mr Goggins).
