To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many crimes were committed by juvenile offenders in(a) Haltemprice and Howden, (b) the East Riding of Yorkshire and (c) the Humberside Police Authority area in each of the last two quarters for which figures are available; and how many cautions were issued. [116769]

Paul Goggins

It is not known how many crimes are committed by juveniles. The information contained in the table gives the number of juveniles convicted or given reprimands and final warnings in Humberside, for the 3rd and 4th quarter 2001.

The information collected centrally does not enable cases in the Haltemprice and Howden constituency to be identified nor reprimands and final warnings in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Statistics for 2002 will be published in the autumn.
