What assessment they have made of any regulatory and financial burdens to be placed on United Kingdom businesses in respect of data and information technology system security, given the coming into force of the Higgs Report on corporate governance on 1 July; and, if such an assessment has been made, what are their projections for increased costs per annum to business. Lord Sainsbury of Turnville:The combined code is to be amended in the light of the recommendations in the report by Derek Higgs on the role and effectiveness of non-executive directors. The Financial Reporting Council is responsible for changes to the combined code.
