To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list each staff vacancy in Ashworth Special Hospital, indicating how long each post has been vacant. [123557]

The national health service survey is conducted in March each year. The most recent figures currently available are from the March 2002 survey and show vacancies which have remained unfilled for three months or over in Ashworth Special Hospital as follows:

  • All consultants: 1
  • Qualified nursing, midwifery and health visiting staff: 1
