With respect to each of the following in England and Wales:

  1. (a) comprehensive schools;
  2. (b) secondary modern schools;
  3. (c) grammar schools;
  4. (d) independent schools;
  5. (e) sixth form colleges; and
  6. (f) further education colleges

what is the percentage (and what is the total number) of post-16 full-time students attending. [HL3894]

The numbers and percentages of 16 to 18 year-olds participating in full-time education by institution type, for end 2001 in England (provisional figures; as at end of calendar year), are set out in the table.
