§ Mr. BoatengEstimated expenditure for military activities for 2002–03 and planned expenditure for 2003–04 can be found the Ministry of Defence's Government Expenditure Plans 2003–04 to 2005–06.
In particular reference to the cost of conflict prevention in 2002–03 the provisional outturn is as follows.

§ Mr. BoatengThe Government do not specifically allocate funds to Departments based on percentage of tax revenues but through the Government Spending Review and the supply estimate process. Budget 2003, table C12, sets out allocations of £30.8 billion resource and £ 6.1 billion capital for the Ministry of Defence budget in 2003–04.
