HC Deb 04 July 2003 vol 408 c555W
Mrs. Spelman

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent assessment he has made of human rights abuses committed by the Chinese against the Tibetan people. [123647]

Mr. Rammell

We remain concerned about the human rights situation in Tibet and continue to urge China to enter into dialogue with the Dalai Lama's representatives.

My right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary raised our concerns with Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing on 25 June 2003.
