As National Statistician, I have been asked to reply to your parliamentary question about the numbers of employees aged 16 and 17. (122879)Estimates from the Labour Force Survey (LFS), for the three month period ending February 2003, show 255,000 employees aged 16 and 379,000 employees aged 17 in the United Kingdom.
