§ Mr. MeacherGuidance on the siting of waste management facilities is provided in Planning Policy Guidance Note 10 'Planning and waste Management', which was published by the then DETR in September 1999. Applications for planning permission have to be decided in accordance with the development plan unless material considerations indicate otherwise, including taking account of national and regional policy and planning guidance.
