To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the level of NI employee contribution paid on behalf of individuals in their main job is protected during periods of service as an armed forces reservist; and if he will make a statement. [93341]

Armed forces reservists receive earnings from the Ministry of Defence for periods of service. These earnings are liable to national insurance contributions.
