To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many deaf people were provided with a qualified British Sign Language interpreter when attending a medical assessment for disability living allowance in each year since 1997. [92720]

SchlumbergerSema Medical Services do not keep records of the numbers of requests made for a Sign Language interpreter to attend at medical assessments. All customers are informed of the availability of interpreter services on request.
