Whether they have recently appointed an alternate United Kingdom member to the Venice Commission. [HL928]

On 7 January HMG announced the appointment of Professor Anthony Bradley as the alternate UK member of the European Commission for Democracy Through Law (the Venice Commission). The Venice Commission is a Council of Europe body which is made up of constitutional experts who provide member states with advice on constitutions and democratic institutions furthering human rights and the rule of law.
