The National Statistician has been asked to reply to your recent question concerning the statistical incidence of prostate cancer in each of the last ten years for which records exist. I am replying in his absence. (89679)The latest available cancer incidence rates are for newly diagnosed cases of cancer in 1999. The directly age standardised registration rates for prostate cancer in England for the ten year period 1990–99 are given in the table below.
