§ The Prime MinisterMy Office's policy is to take New Deal participants from Jobcentre Plus on secondment and provide them with up to six months work experience. During the secondment they continue to be paid by Jobcentre Plus. Since 1998, six New Deal participants have been on secondment to Number 10.
