To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what discussions he has had with the Department of Work and Pensions to ensure that ex-heroin misusers can re-enter employment following a criminal conviction. [88962]

The Home Office and the Department of Work and Pensions are in regular contact to ensure that those with a history of illegal drug use—including heroin use—are able to secure and maintain employment.
