§ Clare ShortSince 1991, my Department has provided funding solely for humanitarian assistance projects in Iraq. Total bilateral funding has amounted to just over £100 million. Several of the projects funded were specifically focused on women and children, although all the projects to some degree benefited women and children.
Specific data on each project is not available, except at disproportionate cost. Total annual bilateral programme expenditure for Iraq for each financial year during this period was as follows:
