The Ministerial Team has visited the following ambulance trusts in 2002.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what information his Department collects on the number of new discoveries of antibiotics each year. [88073]

Mr. Lammy

The Medicines Control Agency does not monitor the number of new antibiotic discoveries that are made each year and hence is unable to provide the information requested.
