To ask the Secretary of State for Health whether agencies which have not signed the code of practice on international nurses have been contracted by the Department. [98916]

[holding answer Tuesday 25 February]: The Department has not contracted with any agency involved in the international recruitment of nurses and therefore subject to the code of practice for National Health Service employers.
