To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what proportion of(a) Royal Navy and (b) Royal Marines personnel scheduled for deployment to the Gulf (i) have been and (ii) will be issued with CBW protection suits. [98412]

All Royal Navy and Royal Marine personnel deployed to the Gulf will have access to sufficient CBW suits to meet our contingency plans.
