[holding answer 13 February 2003]: Initial research into reconviction rates of RAPt, Rehabilitation for Addicted Prisoners' Trust programme graduates is encouraging; it shows a 40 per cent. reconviction rate, compared to an expected 51 per cent.

Emerging findings suggest that, for graduates who receive secondary aftercare on release, reconviction rates can be as low as 30 per cent., compared to expected rate of 54 per cent.
