§ The Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department (Baroness Scotland of Asthal)In the period October 2001 to September 2002, 60,450 appeals were determined by adjudicators, of which 13,240 were upheld. The figures do not include applications for leave to appeal to the Immigration Appeal Tribunal or hearings dealt with by the tribunal.
It is not possible to link the amount paid in legal aid to these cases.
