§ Beverley HughesThe indicative plans for Haslar Removal Centre were first prepared in July 2003 at the request of the senior responsible officer within the Department. The cost of drawing up these plans was £20,000.
This was part of an exercise to examine the feasibility of increasing the capacity of existing removal centres. As a result of this exercise, there are no plans to increase the capacity at Haslar.
