To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what the Government's estimates were for aggregate revenues in each year from 1996–97 to 2001–02 expressed as(a) totals and (b) percentages of gross domestic product, attributable to (i)Scotland,(ii) Wales, (iii) Northern Ireland, (iv) England and (v) the Government Office Regions of England. Government estimates for aggregate revenues by country and region of the UK are not readily available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. However, the Scottish Executive publishes its own estimates in Government Expenditure and Revenue in Scotland.
