To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what compensation payments have been made to hired fishermen since the Fisheries Council in December 2002. [143949]

Neither this Department nor the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department have made any payments to hired fishermen since last December's Council.
