HL Deb 09 December 2003 vol 655 c52WA
Lord Berkeley

asked the Chairman of Committees: Whether Peers are able to reclaim payment of the London congestion charge as part of their travel expenses. [HL4]

The Chairman of Committees

The House Committee decided on 10 December 2002 that no additional reimbursement would be available to assist Members in meeting the costs of congestion charging. Members are not, therefore, able to claim the London congestion charge as part of their travel expenses. Members may, however, claim the cost of the charge under the day subsistence and incidental travel heading.
