§ Mr. StrawThe Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, my hon. Friend the Member for North Warwickshire (Mr. O'Brien) last spoke to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on 7 March 2003. Since being detained on 30 May we have made repeated attempts to speak to her by phone but these attempts have been unsuccessful.
