To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what recent assessment she has made of the impact of the Animal By-Products Regulations 2003 on(a) cattle farmers, (b) pig and sheep farmers, (c) poultry farmers, (d) other livestock farmers, (e) catering establishments, (f) abattoirs and (g) other affected businesses. The Animal By-Products Regulations provide for the administration and enforcement of the EU Animal By-Products Regulation (EC No. 1774/2202). The most recent assessment on this legislation is contained in the Regulatory Impact Assessment that accompanied the Animal By-Products Regulations 2003 when they were laid before Parliament on 9 June 2003.
