Mr. Alan Duncan

To ask the Prime Minister (1) what estimate has been made of the cost of civil service time allocated to the Big Conversation consultation; [141882]

(2)what his Department's estimate is of the proportion of the total cost of the Big Conversation consultation that will be borne by the Government; [141883]

(3)how many civil servants have been seconded to work on the Big Conversation consultation.[141884]

The Prime Minister

The Labour Party is consulting its members and the wider community on the Government's progress and challenges ahead. This is a party document and has been issued by the Labour Party. No civil servants have been seconded to work on the consultation process.

However Ministers and special advisers have of course participated in this process according to the rules laid out in the Ministerial Code and the Special Advisers Code.
