The Labour Force Survey estimates the numbers employed for all types of work undertaken and within the UK regions. In 1993 there were 11,000 plumbers (including heating and ventilating engineers), 26,000 joiners and 32,000 electricians in Yorkshire and 419W Humberside; and in 2003 there were 16,000 plumbers (including heating and ventilating engineers), 27,000 joiners and 24,000 electricians in Yorkshire and Humberside.
