§ Mr. BlunkettThe Security Service systematically reviews and, if appropriate, releases records in accordance with the criteria agreed with the Public Records Office and endorsed by the Advisory Council on Public Records. Since 1997, a total of 690 files, comprising 1,387 pieces (volumes) have been transferred to the Public Records Office. A further tranche of files are due for release at the end of May 2003.
