§ Mr. MilibandIn our policy document 14–19: "opportunity and excellence" we recognised the particular strengths of the International Baccalaureate while at the same time noting that the IB was not designed to be, and is not, a suitable model to meet the needs of the majority of young people in this country.
The Working Group chaired by Mike Tomlinson on possible longer-term 14–19 reforms will consider the structure and delivery of the International Baccalaureate as part of its work on a unified framework of qualifications.
