HC Deb 07 April 2003 vol 403 c5W
Mr. Bercow

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many successful prosecutions have been undertaken since 6 February 2002 by the Environment Agency concerning pollution in Buckinghamshire. [106379]

Mr. Meacher

The Buckinghamshire constituency is covered by two of the Environment Agency's regions—Thames and Anglian.

There were five prosecutions successfully concluded during the period. These comprised two cases involving fly-tipping, two cases involving breaches of the producer responsibility regulations—designed to encourage the recycling of waste packaging—and one case involving water pollution.
