HC Deb 19 September 2002 vol 390 cc218-9W
Miss McIntosh

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office what progress his office has made in helping delivering reform of education services since the Comprehensive Spending Review. [72090]

Estelle Morris

I have been asked to reply. Since the Comprehensive Spending Review 1998 the Government has put in place a number of reforms to raise standards of attainment, improve the quality of education and skills provision and invest in the workforce and physical infrastructure to deliver these reforms. The Department has met several of its targets and is making good progress towards almost all of the others.
