HC Deb 30 October 2002 vol 391 c840W
Mr. Allen

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will ensure that the parts of the Criminal Justice Bill for which he is responsible are subject to pre-legislative scrutiny on-line. [75306]

Hilary Benn

[holding answer 24 October 2002]: The Criminal Justice Bill will be subject to pre-legislative scrutiny by the Home Affairs Committee prior to the second reading of the Bill. The Home Affairs Committee is expected to publish a short report which will be available on-line. On-line consultation will not be possible, given the short time-scales between the Queen's Speech and introduction.
