§ Clare ShortThe nature of my Department's work is such that there would be little direct impact on our service to the public as a result of a fire-fighter's strike. We are of course looking at our contingency arrangements in the event of a fire, and have taken action to raise the awareness of all our staff. No additional expenditure has been incurred.
