To ask the Deputy Prime Minister what proposals he has to lay before the House amendments to the Accounts and Audit Regulations 1996 (SI 1996/590). [77052]

My Department is currently consulting on amendments to the Accounts and Audit Regulations 1996. The consultation period on this will come to an end on 9 December, and the responses received will then be considered. The aim will be to lay the revised regulations before the House early next year.
