To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when the Scorpion family of armoured vehicles will be retired from service. [76366]

The Scorpion vehicle, which was a member of the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) (CVR(T)) family of vehicles, is no longer in service with the United Kingdom Armed Forces. On current plans, the remainder of the CVR(T) fleet, which comprises a number of variants, will be withdrawn from service over the period 2005 to 2015.
