To ask the Secretary of State for Health what paediatric (renal services are available in(a) East Anglia and (b) Wales. [75541]

[holding answer 21 October 2002]: Paediatric renal services are highly specialised. Children in the East Anglia area requiring treatment in a paediatric renal unit are referred to one of the national centres.

The provision of health services in Wales is a matter for the Welsh Assembly.
