To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many United Kingdom nationals are working for the United Nations Monitoring Verification and Inspection Commission; and if he will list their qualifications. [75827]

As far as we are aware, there are seven UK nationals working full-time for UNMOVIC. Additionally, one UK national is currently working on a short-term contract to deliver a training package for potential UNMOVIC inspectors.

All UNMOVIC staff are UN employees and are recruited directly by the UN. UNMOVIC are under no obligation to inform us of their intention to employ UK nationals, or to divulge the qualifications of any staff that they employ.
